Product details

The new GEL-NOOSA TRI is specially engineered for triathlons and Ironman competition.

It's designed with an open mesh upper for breathability so your feet stay dry and comfortable.

Plus the seamless upper means you can wear them barefoot at the end of your event.

And for quick transitions, the elastic laces and easy-to-grip upper makes them easy to put on when you jump off the bike.

For added support, the DuoMax technology in the midsole gives you extra stability.

Product features

  • ASICS® design philosophy that employs linked componentry to enhance the foot's natual gait from heel strike to toe-off.

  • An outsole made from a special blend of organic and non-organic components, designed to enhance traction even on wet surfaces.

  • EVA sockliner moulded to the shape of the foot, which can be removed to accommodate a medical orthotic.

  • A dual-density midsole system positioned to enhance support and stability, positioned sport-specifically.

  • New blown AHAR outsole material. Delivers enhanced cushioning, durability and ride to the foot.

  • A classic triathlon feature allowing a runner to put the shoe on quickly, easily, and securely.

  • Exoskeletal heel counter provides improved support and creates improved heel fitting environment.

  • A blown AHAR rubber outsole material with high abrasion-resistant qualities for added durability, combined with a comfortable, cushioned ride.

  • For stability and comfort. Upper is stitched around a canvas or EVA board and directly attached to the midsole.

  • Attenuates shock during impact and toe-off phases, and allows movement in multiple planes as the foot transitions through the gait cycle.

  • Reflective material produced by 3M company, for night safety.

  • A lighter weight midsole compound than ASICS' standard EVA and SpEVA®. Also fetures enhanced cushioning and durability.

  • Vertical flex groove decouples the tooling along the line of progression for enhanced gait efficiency.

  • Mimics connective tissue in the foot by creating tension as foot enters propulsion stage.

Shoe care

Cleaning:

surface dirt such as mud and grit can be cleaned off with an old toothbrush or nail brush, a little warm water and a gentle, anti-grease soap.

This should take care of the dirt, and is fine to do once in a while.

Washing:

do not wash in washing machine and remove the sock-liner or insole and wash it separately.

This will help make the inside of your shoe fresher. Laces can be washed or replaced.

Drying:

don't place them near a heating device such as a radiator. Direct heat will alter the shape of the shoe.

Open out the shoe and then stuff the inside with kitchen paper or newspaper. The paper will absorb the dampness inside the shoe.

A shoe takes about twelve hours to dry out.

Pronation Suitability

Over Pronate - Over Pronate

  1. Under
  2. Neutral
  3. Over
  4. Severe

Pronation is how a runner's foot rolls laterally between footfall and toe-off. Underpronation is when the foot rolls outwards, overpronation is when it rolls inwards, and a neutral pattern is when little rolling occurs.

Matching a shoe's properties with the runner's running style will increase comfort, running efficiency, and contribute to decreasing the risk of injury.
