The young top-order batsman is a recent addition to the wider cricket scene who currently plays for Hampshire. James has already made his mark since his Championship debut against Nottinghamshire, hitting a 95-ball 93 in the Natwest Pro 40 game against Essex and a further half-century when he faced Nottinghamshire again.

After touring with Under-19’s in late 2009, James was included in the age-group World Cup squad for 2010.
