Rearfoot GEL

Rearfoot GEL

ASICS GEL is a silicone-based cushioning system designed to meet the needs of both professional and recreational athletes. Rearfoot GEL provides cushioning in all directions, absorbs impact forces and helps to stabilise the foot during heel contact.

Biomorphic Fit

Biomorphic Fit

Biomorphic Fit technology allows the upper of the shoe to move in harmony with the foot, giving more comfort while in motion. This fit means the shoe material does not bunch, reducing the risk of blisters or irritation.

Sadly, if you are used to the Gel Sensei 2 shoe and were thinking the Gel Blast 3 would be a suitable replacement you will be slightly disappointed. The Gel Blast 3 is a wider fitting shoe and there seems to be no where still stocking the Gel Sensei 2. The Gel Sensei 3 (available in Australia for example) is different again and geared towards volleyball.

The Gel Blast 3 is still a great shoe, just better suited to people with wider feet (Sensei 2 seem to fit narrower feet).

I play indoor tennis on hard court and was looking for a light flexible shoe instead of 'heavy' clay tennis shoes. When in the shop tried this immediately felt that it is perfectly fit on my wide foot. For the first time played almost 4 hours with satisfaction, and the most important, winning much more games than anyway.

Great shoe - lots of cushioning and perfect for volleyball. I just wish asics would make them in womens sizes as they are a little wide for my foot.

Magnificent shoe. Fits wider feet "like a glove". Only worn them twice, on floorball and gym, but they've proven already they're Asics. If your ankles and knees are worth anything, go get them.

P.S. These should be better for supinating feet, when Senseis are better for pronating (Senseis are stiffer). Try it for yourself!
