Are you looking for a new challenge? Join hundreds of other runners and families of missing people on this beautiful run around Regents Park, London to raise money for Missing People. We return to Regents Park after a fantastic first event in 2011 which attracted 700 runners who enjoyed a great run - plus the fantastic atmosphere created by the 400 strong Rock Choir who will, once again, be in attendance to support the event. Miles for Missing People 10K (6.2miles) is a great event for both experienced runners and those who are new to running - if you don't think you can run 10k, there is also a two mile Fun Run, and for the youngsters a free childrens race. All proceeds will help Missing People provide a lifeline when someone disappears. "This was my first time attending Miles for Missing People, I would like to comment on how impressed I was with the organisation, from the girls signing directions to the park from Baker St (very helpful), to the amount of cake/water and the amazing atmosphere Rock Choir helped create. I stayed till the end and was very pleased I did too." 2011 Participant The event is for the charity Missing People. All proceeds will help to provide a lifeline for the estimated 250,000 people who run away and go missing each year. For those left behind it provides specialised support to ease the heartache and confusion, and help search for their missing loved ones. Finishers receive a T-shirt, medal and post event cake and entertainment. The event carries a UKA licence, will be a certified, measured course and will use electronic chip timing. Miles for Missing People is being organised in partnership with race management company Nice Work.
