I've typically had Nike's for the last 4 years but switched to these this year. I have to fit a Sarbathane insert as I've had heel problems over the last two years. These shoes fit me better than the Nikes and they feel supportive in sudden deseperate direction changes and yet my feet feel fine aftre 5 hard sets. They grip really well - even in slightly damp donditions - again better than the nikes. My heel condition has completely gone.
The only drawback is that they show a startling rater of wear on the corner big toe area - the bit that always gets a pounding. I noticed after a few weeks this area was churning up like a soft compound motorcycle tyre! This high rate of wear obviously explains the exception grip. After four months I'm needing a new pair. I am very hard on tennis shoes so this explains some of it but my Nike's lasted twice as long (that XDR stuff makes the sole harder but more durable).
